"Building a better Plainfield for EVERYONE"

My platform is centered on building a stronger, safer, healthier, and more opportunity-driven Plainfield for working families, seniors, business owners, and especially our youth.

I believe government works best when it focuses on improving quality of life in practical ways that people can actually feel in their everyday lives.

One of my major priorities is investing in our young people through mentorship, discipline, and leadership development. I want to create structured youth programs rooted in martial arts and kickboxing that teach much more than self-defense. These programs would help young people build confidence, accountability, respect, resilience, and strong character while surrounding them with positive mentors and structure.

I also believe housing policy must balance compassion with opportunity. We need to support affordable housing and advocate for additional resources for families who need stability, while also helping residents build pathways toward financial independence and eventually homeownership. My approach is about helping people move forward, not leaving them behind.

Public health and wellness are also important to me. I strongly support investments in fitness and recreational spaces throughout Plainfield because healthier residents create stronger families and stronger communities. Preventative health, especially for men who often neglect their health, has to become part of the conversation.

Economically, I want Plainfield to continue growing as a business-friendly city where entrepreneurs can thrive. Our location, transportation access, and diversity create tremendous opportunity. I support restoring the Chamber of Commerce, strengthening support for small businesses, and continuing to revitalize our downtown so it remains clean, safe, walkable, and attractive for investment.

On public safety and immigration, I believe in balance. We must protect our residents, support law enforcement, and focus enforcement efforts on serious criminal activity while also respecting hardworking immigrant families who contribute tremendously to our community and local economy.

At its core, my platform is about building strength, character, opportunity, and stability throughout Plainfield. I want to continue creating a city where families feel safe, businesses can grow, young people are mentored, and residents have real opportunities to improve their quality of life.

This is not just about policy. It is about people.

Building a better Plainfield for everyone!

What Matters Most to You. What We’re Doing About It. My Commitment to You.
Building Strength, Character, and Opportunity for Our Youth

One of my commitments for my next term is to bring a structured youth mentoring initiative to Plainfield built around the discipline and values of martial arts and Kickboxing.

This program will give our children and teenagers a place to train, grow, and develop confidence through physical activity. While martial arts and boxing techniques will make up much of the training, the true purpose of the program will be much deeper than punches and kicks.

The goal is to build character.

Participants will learn discipline, responsibility, respect for others, and respect for themselves. They will be challenged to develop grit, leadership skills, and resilience. They will learn how to channel their energy into focus, competition, and personal growth. Just as important, they will be surrounded by mentors who believe in their potential and hold them to a higher standard.

Programs like this do more than teach self-defense. They give young people structure, purpose, and a positive community where they can grow stronger mentally and physically.

When we invest in the strength, discipline, and leadership of our young people, we are investing in the future of Plainfield.

A Balanced and Compassionate Approach to Housing

Housing is one of the most important issues facing families in New Jersey and in communities like Plainfield. My approach to affordable housing is rooted in both compassion and opportunity.

First, we must recognize the reality. New Jersey remains one of the most expensive housing markets in the country, and the demand for assistance continues to grow. Programs like Section 8 housing vouchers help thousands of families remain safely housed, yet the need still far exceeds the available resources. State data shows that tens of thousands of households rely on these vouchers, and waiting lists often stretch for years, with far more applicants than available assistance.

That is why I believe we must continue advocating for additional Section 8 housing vouchers and responsible development of affordable housing options in our community. These programs help working families, seniors, and residents facing hardship maintain stability while they rebuild and move forward.

At the same time, affordable housing should also be part of a pathway to opportunity. I strongly support housing models that encourage multi-generational living, allowing young adults to remain close to family while saving money for their first home. This kind of stability can help the next generation build the financial foundation necessary to achieve homeownership.

We must also be honest about the human reality within these programs. Some residents will use affordable housing as a temporary stepping stone. They will sacrifice, work hard, and eventually move into market-rate housing or purchase a home. Others may need the long-term stability these programs provide and will work to remain in them. Both realities exist, and both deserve dignity and understanding.

My role as a public servant is not to judge those paths, but to ensure that residents have access to knowledge, resources, and opportunities so they can make the best decisions for their families.

Housing policy should always be guided by balance: compassion for those who need stability today, and opportunity for those striving to build a better tomorrow.

By taking this balanced approach, we can continue building a community in Plainfield where people are supported in their time of need while also being empowered to achieve greater independence and prosperity.

"Housing policy should protect stability for those who need help today while creating real pathways for families who are working toward independence and homeownership."

Men's Health Matters

My passion for fitness, health, and wellness is deeply personal, but it is also rooted in a larger responsibility to our community. Across our country, adult men face serious health challenges. Nearly 1 in 2 men in the United States lives with high blood pressure, and heart disease remains the leading cause of death for men. Obesity affects over 40% of adults, and men are far less likely than women to seek preventive healthcare.

These are not just numbers. They are fathers, brothers, sons, and leaders in our communities.

That is why I fully support the initiatives approved by the City Council to bring indoor and outdoor fitness facilities throughout Plainfield. These spaces are more than places to exercise. They are investments in prevention, longevity, and community strength.

As men, we must set the standard. We must support one another, share knowledge, and hold each other accountable to live healthier, longer lives.

And while we’re talking about strength, we all know the real backbone of our communities has always been strong, resilient women.

Plainfield’s low crime reflects a community that cares. That same commitment must extend to our health.

When we invest in our bodies and minds, we strengthen our families, our community, and our future.

Building a Stronger, Business Friendly Plainfield

In Plainfield, talented restaurateurs and entrepreneurs continue choosing our city because they see what we see: opportunity, culture, and a community ready to grow.

Our location makes Plainfield uniquely positioned for success. With both Plainfield Station and Netherwood Station, residents and visitors enjoy a convenient one-seat ride into New York City. NJ Transit buses also connect directly to the Port Authority Bus Terminal, while major corridors like U.S. Route 22 and Interstate 287 are just minutes away.

Plainfield also sits at the crossroads of communities like North Plainfield, South Plainfield, Fanwood, Scotch Plains, Dunellen, and Watchung, creating a strong regional customer base for our businesses.

What truly sets Plainfield apart, however, is our people. Our business owners are hardworking entrepreneurs who welcome customers, create jobs, and invest in our community every day. From free outdoor concerts to the Plainfield Idol competition, our city brings people together while creating opportunity for local businesses to thrive.

To continue this progress, we must strengthen the support systems for our entrepreneurs. That is why I believe it is time to restore the Plainfield Chamber of Commerce and provide our business community with a unified voice and stronger resources for growth.

Plainfield has the location, the talent, and the entrepreneurial spirit. Together, we will continue building a city where businesses succeed and families proudly choose to call Plainfield home.

Downtown Special Improvement District (SID)

As the City Council Liaison to the Special Improvement District in Plainfield, I have worked closely with our business community, city leadership, and local partners to strengthen and revitalize our downtown business district. During my tenure, we have focused on creating a downtown that is cleaner, safer, and more welcoming for residents, visitors, and business owners alike.

Over the past several years, we have taken meaningful steps to move our downtown forward. Through strategic planning and collaboration, we earned the prestigious Main Street designation, secured grant funding, and brought on a dedicated professional whose sole responsibility is to keep our downtown clean, welcoming, and well maintained.

We have also created space and opportunity for new businesses to open and thrive. Today, our downtown is home to new restaurants, a much-needed laundromat, a juice bar, and other small businesses that add energy, convenience, and diversity to our local economy.

Improving the experience of being downtown has remained a priority. We have enhanced curb appeal, improved lighting so our streets feel safe and vibrant in the evening, and strengthened the relationship between our business community and law enforcement. The result is a downtown that is cleaner, safer, and increasingly pedestrian friendly.

But our downtown is more than a collection of businesses. It is the heart of our city.

The more welcoming, walkable, and safe our downtown feels, the more visitors will spend time here. They will shop here, dine here, invest here, and ultimately choose to call Plainfield home.

When our downtown thrives, our entire city thrives.

Where I Stand on I.C.E.

As a Councilman, my approach to immigration is rooted in public safety, fairness, and respect for the people who make Plainfield the vibrant community it is.

I recognize the role of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in enforcing federal law, but I believe enforcement should focus on deporting non-citizens who commit serious crimes, not creating fear among hardworking families. I would rather see more federal resources invested directly into local communities to strengthen public safety by funding local officers who know and serve our neighborhoods. Tactics like aggressive raids or dangerous pursuits can put innocent residents at risk and destabilize families, and in a city like Plainfield, New Jersey, our responsibility is to keep people safe while respecting the dignity of the immigrant families who contribute so much to our community.

Public safety also means improving communication between the United States and other countries so that when someone enters our nation, we can determine whether they have outstanding warrants for serious violent crimes, especially crimes involving the abuse or exploitation of children. Protecting families must always be the priority.

At the national level, we must continue working toward secure and well-managed borders, because every country has a responsibility to maintain an orderly immigration system.

But here in Plainfield, New Jersey, I also see something very important every day: our immigrant community is a major part of the strength and spirit of our city. Many immigrant families are entrepreneurs who open restaurants, shops, and service businesses that keep our local economy moving and our neighborhoods full of life.

I believe that when individuals who are not citizens come into contact with authorities and are otherwise law-abiding, they should be given clear guidance and a fair opportunity to begin the legal process toward residency or citizenship.

Plainfield has always been a diverse, welcoming city built by people from many backgrounds who came here seeking opportunity. My goal is to ensure our city remains safe, fair, and supportive of the hardworking families who contribute so much to our community every day.

That balance, strong public safety and respect for our immigrant neighbors, is the approach I will continue to advocate for as your Councilman.
